My Journey with FourPOSE Charity
Dear Friends,
A Humble Beginning
My name is Krishna Bholan, and I am no stranger to the trials of life’s journey. Born and raised in the hilly district of Makwanpur, my path to where I stand today has been defined by resilience, compassion, and a burning desire to make a difference.
At the tender age of sixteen, I left behind the familiarity of my village and ventured to West Pokhara in search of hope and opportunity. Little did I know then that this journey would shape the course of my life in ways I could never have imagined.
Early Struggles
In 1998, I began my first job as a dishwasher in a random kitchen in the tourist spot of Pokhara. I was 16 years old. Those days were filled with tough hardships, working 18 hours a day in the restaurant. Many people advised me that it was the time to study, but they didn’t understand my struggle. Coming from a remote village, I had always lived in poverty. I was deprived of education, as was my entire community, due to the lack of educational facilities. My home and the place where I was born faced significant challenges, with an uncertain future and no opportunities beyond farming. This forced many people, including myself, to leave home in search of a better future.
Rise and Fall
From 1998 to 2006, my kitchen experience led me to become a head chef. I was humbled to achieve this position, which opened better opportunities in kitchen hospitality. However, I was forced to leave this position due to unfair labor practices, where most owners took advantage of workers by not paying their basic salaries. As a young man with family responsibilities, I became a mountain porter to find better opportunities. Carrying loads above 40kg was not easy, but the beauty of the Himalayas encouraged me to pursue my dream of becoming a guide.
A New Purpose
The journey through the mountains not only showcased the stunning landscapes but also exposed me to the harsh realities of life. I witnessed child labor, child abuse, gender discrimination, and a lack of education, which reminded me of my own difficult childhood. As a young trekking guide, I traversed the rugged terrain of the Himalayas, leading adventurous souls from around the world to the breathtaking peaks of Nepal. Yet, amidst the awe-inspiring beauty of the mountains, I could not turn a blind eye to the harsh realities that lay beneath the surface.
The Birth of FourPOSE Charity
As a guide, I continued to encounter many vulnerable children in rural communities. Their plight resonated with me deeply, and I knew I had to find a way to help. Despite my challenges, I managed to rescue some of the most vulnerable children, with the help of my former trekking group from France, who supported their boarding school education. Today, these children are thriving academically in Pokhara. However, it’s not just the mountain regions that suffer; there are many harsh realities in rural communities like the one I came from.
Inspired by the resilience of these children, I knew that I could not stand idly by. Despite my own struggles and limitations, I felt compelled to do something—to be a beacon of hope in their darkest hours.
Our Mission
Thus, the idea for FourPOSE Charity was born—a humble yet determined effort to uplift the underprivileged children of Nepal. Fueled by a sense of purpose and a commitment to creating positive change, I embarked on this new chapter of my life with unwavering determination.
Our mission is simple yet profound: to provide a lifeline of support to those who need it most. From fighting poverty and ending starvation to providing education and support for orphans, our goals are as ambitious as they are essential.

The road ahead may be challenging, but I am more determined than ever to continue the fight for a brighter, more equitable future for all.
